the pipettes: pull shapes
I don't think I've mentioned this video on here yet. So here it is. This is "Pull Shapes" by The Pipettes.
I really like this song so I bought the album off eMusic. The rest of the album's good, but this is the best track.
But the main reason I'm posting about it is the video. Normally I'm not a big fan of "recreate a scene from a movie for a video", but when it's the fantastic Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls, you can't really go wrong.
If you've never seen it, do yourself a favor and get your hands on the recent DVD release. Directed by Russ Meyer and written by Roger Ebert, it's one of the most hilarious, surreal, and fun movies ever made. The soundtrack is great, the performances are brilliantly over-the-top, and the final 20 minutes of the film are mind blowing. Seriously. Go rent it.
