movies 2007

Is anyone still checking this blog? I can't understand why, since I haven't updated it in over a month. As you can tell, my interest in keeping this thing up has decreased severely. Work and life are just more important these days.

But, I still have my list of movies I saw last year, like I compile every year, so I figured I'd post that. So here are all the movies I saw in 2007, from my favorite to my least favorite.

First, the top films I saw:
The Darjeeling Limited
Ratatouille
The Simpsons Movie
There Will Be Blood
Zodiac
Superbad

And then everything else:
Beowulf
Rescue Dawn
Live Free or Die Hard
Hot Fuzz
Grindhouse
Black Snake Moan
The Kite Runner
No Country For Old Men
I Am Legend
The Ten
28 Weeks Later
Sicko
Ocean’s 13
Spiderman 3
1408
Death at a Funeral
Knocked Up
Disturbia
Shoot ‘Em Up
The Bourne Ultimatum
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
300
Next

With a special place in hell for:
Transformers

And lastly, a movie I'm so thoroughly confused by, it doesn't even belong anywhere on my list:
Southland Tales

Anyway, that's just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

My friend Tony from The Action Room stars in this spot-on Dr. Who parody.

It's funny! Watch it!

four white guys in hipster clothes

I have no idea why both of these videos are labeled as "four white guys in hipster clothes", but here's Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci (who has the best IMDB photo ever), doing two short, fun, and kinda dirty ditties.

people i saw today in los angeles

1. A man at the grocery store, about six and a half feet tall, probably in his late forties, incredibly skinny, and dressed like a sixteen year old raver kid, complete with long shorts, striped socks, and giant, cartoonish shoes.

2. A man, probably in his early thirties, walking along the sidewalk on an empty LA street, wearing a sandwich board. This would be strange in and of itself, but the fact that the boards he was wearing were COMPLETELY BLANK made me a little uneasy.

3. A man dressed in a filthy Incredible Hulk costume, complete with bulging, foam muscles and ripped, purple shorts, yet missing any sort of head or hand-gear, handing out flyers to ticket buyers at the movie theater.

4. John Landis.

All I know is it's Sunday morning, I can't sleep, and this amused the hell out of me.
